Should I use Booking Request or Contact Owner first?
We recommend you use Contact Owner first to open dialog with the owner and to be able to discuss all aspects of your needs and their requirements before actually booking the time period. If the Availability Calendar for a property shows your dates open then it means the Owner still has not accepted a tenant for those dates, but could be in negotiations for them with another User.
How do I navigate to my User dashboard?
Only registered users are provided a user dashboard. When you first Log In, you are taken to your Profile Page, from there after visiting any page in the Getaways in Florida menu, your User Dashboard will appear at the bottom of the right hand sidebar and can also be reached by clicking on your User Icon in the upper right hand corner of the header.
I want to Book a Home for a Month but in the Booking Request Form the charge
is higher than than what I expected
You can use the Contact Owner tab to send any questions you have about your desired stay. Our system automatically figures the cost of your stay by the per day rate which is normally higher than the rate for longer periods.
What happens when I send a message using the Contact Owner tab on the Listing Page?
A copy of your message will be placed in your My Inbox page and in the owner’s My Inbox page too. Additionally the owner will receive an email notifying him/her that there is a message in their inbox from you. The owner can then reply to you and their reply message will be handled in the same way- it appears in both your’s and the owner’s My Inbox pages and sends you an additional email notification. If you send a Booking Request the owner can only accept or reject your booking request at their discretion because of a need for more info from you.

Do I have to accept a booking received through Getaways in Florida?
You may reject the booking at your discretion. We are here just to open and facilitate the dialog between owners and tenants. We offer a web portal and advertising vehicle only. When you receive a booking request you are free to handle the communication your way. If you want your potential tenant to submit an application before proceeding, then do so. Per federal law, you cannot deny someone occupancy because of their race, creed, color, religion but, other than that, it’s according to your own rules. You choose your own contract and further means of communication. We do not require Users to submit identification so know that you are proceeding at your own risk. Whenever you do Confirm a Booking through our system, your Availability Calendar for that property will be automatically updated to show the dates as reserved and unavailable. Also whenever you make a booking outside our system, please update your calendar here by entering that booking so that the calendar at Getaways in Florida will appear up to date.
How do I add bookings to my availability calendars for my properties?
